July 2014: Braided Girl

Working from Gaia Online request from RosabelleLavender...

Reference art done by Watuni.

My version:
I'm getting sloppy with bodies... or just rusty with drawing in general.

I recently joined Instagram, too. ... Boy, there are some amazing artists on there.
To be honest... I've actually been feeling less and less motivated as time goes by.

As someone once told me, I'm not an artist.

March-April 2014 Demon Archer Chickee Complete

Finally done.

It only took me two weeks to finish it. (Well, more like 6-7 hours of coloring, but still!) I really struggled with the idea of the linework of the eye showing through, but made a last-minute decision to hide it.

March 2014: Demon Archer Chickee WIP

Haven't been doing a lot of art stuff lately. (Excuse one: work is killing me. Excuse two: not feeling inspired. Excuse three: more energy devoted to working out more. I've got more if you want 'em! Haha.) Reverted back to Gaia Online to try to get myself working on something...

The avatar I'm drawing.

I got as far as drawing and inking it (which felt like it took twice as long as it should've taken me.) I'll be starting the coloring in my dated Photoshop CS3 (don't laugh at me) sometime tonight probably. (If I don't get distracted.)

2014: Cuttles and Darkness

"Cuttle" this! (Ahahaha.)

Sometimes I make the mistake of thinking out loud, "Hm. What should I draw?" And sometimes, someone answers with something like, "Zombies!"

Started this the other day right before bed but didn't get too far. It's a character I made back in 2005:

(Man, how cool and edgy were my characters back then?!)

Oh, and a small update on this one, still in progress. (Still not used to working on an ipad.)

2014: Watercolors and New Sketchbook

Jellyfish watercolor, which I'll probably try to sell on my Etsy when I have a couple more items to pop up on there.

Starting page of a new sketchbook. (Gotta start somewhere.)

A couple of pages in (in that new sketchbook). (It's the guy from Supernatural.)

Upon looking at my older sketchbooks, I was inspired by some of the adorable watercolors I used to do using a character based on myself.

2014: Rainbow Eyes

Another Gaia Online freebie.
(The eye color is supposed to be grey, but I originally did 'em with rainbow, which looks way cooler. That rainbow palette was in part inspired by the cover of "Never For Ever" by Kate Bush.)

2014: Short Hair and Monsters

First serious attempt on ProCreate on iPad mini. (Not too thrilling, I know.)

Sneak peek of my current work in progress on there.

Had a "craft date" get-together and drew some snowmen and a tree monster.

Little witchy character idear.

To get my mind off of work during my lunchbreak, I started doodling this creepy thing. I was gonna just leave him behind, but figured I can share him.
